Your body's fitness

Fitness test module measures your fitness level, gives an assessment of your body's ability to withstand physical exertion and tracks its progress over time.

The Fitness test module gives you an accurate evaluation of your fitness level in just 3 minutes. This fitness level shows your current ability to perform physical exercise. Using this test may help you to optimize your fitness program, track your fitness progress and see how fit you are compared to your age group or even top athletes!

Whether you are a novice in fitness or a well-trained athlete, if you care about your fitness and want to maintain or improve it, the Fitness Test is a "must have" tool for you. See the progress you're making, adjust your fitness program if necessary, and share your results with your personal trainer to get the maximum from your training program!

How the fitness test works

After taking a 1-minute baseline recording in a sitting position, you must stand up slowly and remain standing for another 2 minutes. Your heart rate is being measured during the test. Upon standing up, the heart rate begins rising because the body's internal regulatory system adjusts cardiovascular function to make sure that the upper body continues receiving an adequate blood supply and oxygen consumption. Immediately following the standup session, the regulatory system changes cardiovascular control to return it to its resting condition in a quick and efficient manner. Being under the control of the body's regulatory system, the heart rate drops and continues declining until full recovery (when heart rate achieves its baseline level) occurs. In a healthy organism this process happens very quickly. The longer the recovery process takes the less efficient the cardiovascular system is and the less capable the body is to withstand physical exertion. It is known that the most dramatic drop in heart rate should occur within the first 15 seconds after achieving the highest level of the heart rate. This drop in heart-rate is considered a key indicator of cardiovascular health and the body's ability to perform physical exercise.

Fitness Test report

After you have completed the test, the Heart Wizard™ compares your results with predicted values from a large normative database of healthy individuals of your gender and age group and generates an assessment report. The report includes information about your current fitness level. This will help you to track the ability of your cardiovascular system to withstand physical exercise and show positive changes caused by your health improvement efforts like nutrition, fitness programs and other exercises that affect your body.

Test results shown in the report:

Your Age Fitness Level reflects your fitness condition compared to the fitness level of healthy individuals of your age group. It shows how fit you are considering your age.
